In Memory of Vincent Spreckley

March 1st, 2010

As some of you may already know, my Grandfather Vincent Spreckley, passed away last Summer after a courageous battle against cancer. Grandpa could often be seen on the sidelines at Letchworth watching his Grandson regularly see yellow, and I know many of you knew him.

In memory of my late Grandfather, my wife Sarah has decided to run the London Marathon in support of Macmillan Cancer. I’m sure all of us have been touched by cancer in one way or another, so, given the love and support that was afforded my Grandpa by this organisation in his time of need, we could think of no better cause.

I’m well aware that times are hard at the moment but would be exceedingly grateful for support in any way possible. There will be a sponsorship form left behind the bar at the club and below is a link to a Just Giving site that Sarah has set up which makes donating straightforward. If you’re unable to support financially, then I’m sure she would appreciate some kind words of encouragement when you next see her at the club.

Thanks for your support.

Best regards,

Erol
