Insurance
- The club is NOT insured for accidents to players but is covered by public liability insurance of up to £2m. Other clubs MAY NOT be covered and Letchworth Hockey Club cannot be held responsible for any accidental personal injury or consequential loss.
All Level 1 coaches and umpires are strongly advised to have 3rd Party insurance cover, either through 'Hockeywise', and / or by joining the Hertfordshire Umpires Association as an associate member - one of the benefits of Herts UA's very small annual fee is full insurance cover whilst umpiring a match. (Membership is also a requirement of the Men's East Leagues for League matches in League 4 and above.)
Discipline
- All matches will be played in accordance with the current rules of Hockey. The EHA rules on disciplinary procedures shall automatically apply, whether or not neutral umpires have been appointed.
Any player receiving a RED card will automatically be suspended for 16 days (31 days where the case involves violence). These suspensions will apply to all hockey (including training) during the period of the suspension. Red Cards at all levels are automatically referred to the Herts County Hockey Association's Disciplinary Officer for ratification. The HCHA may award a longer suspension, but never shorter.
Other penalties, in addition to the above, may be imposed by the club for any breach of disciplinary procedures.
