National League Players (can offer coaching too)

As champions of the London Premier League, West Herts HC, based in Watford, are looking for new players to bolster our Mens 1st and 2nd XIs in the England Hockey National League and London league in the 2024-25 season.

The playing squad already has significant experience in the National Leagues, both indoor and outdoor and benefited during the 2023-24 season from video analysis and player-specific pre-season S&C support. We will also have the support of a sports psychologist in 2024-25 for group and 1-2-1 sessions.

The coaching team is headed by Kiran Raichura, a coach with National League experience and who has coached many young players through the performance pathway, including leading successful groups at Performance Centre and Futures Cup level. Many young players he has coached have gone on to play for England age group sides, as well as play for top university and national league teams. 

The club has excellent road and rail transport links and is amongst a handful able to boast a clubhouse with balcony adjacent to our home pitch.

- Regular GK-specific coaching

- Outdoor training twice a week

- National League Indoor (Div 2)

- Half-price subs for new joiners

We can also offer coaching opportunities, particularly within our junior section and at Watford Boys Grammar School, whose facilities we share.
